The Town of Oakville and Environment Canada are urging people not to travel during this ice storm, and predictions are it’s going to get even worse by morning. We want to make sure everyone stays safe, so we’re cancelling our formal worship service tomorrow morning (April 15th). Please stay home, stay off the roads, and keep yourself and your family safe.
Instead, we encourage you to log onto the church website or check out our Facebook page to find a webcast from a service you missed. Or you could hold a family Bible study and time of prayer. You could pick up the Christian book that’s been sitting on your shelf but you haven’t gotten around to reading yet. Or you could make yourself a second cup of coffee, and have a time of quiet prayer and reflection as you watch the storm outside. There are lots of ways we can keep the Sabbath holy, even if the weather is preventing us from meeting together this week. We encourage you to find a way to connect with God tomorrow in a new way, or an old way. Pray for the safety of those who have no choice but to travel. And we’ll see you again next Sunday.
