If you have lost a loved one, we invite you to add their name to the white Remembering Tree at the front of the sanctuary. It will be used during our Service of Solace, a service for those who are finding the Christmas season difficult. The service will take place on Friday, December 21st at 7 p.m. All are welcome.

Each year families are invited to take home our traveling nativity set, to share the story of Jesus’s birth together, and children are welcome to take a sheep or angel to keep as a reminder. If you’d like to take the nativity set home this year, please sign up for a time slot on the sheet in the church hall, and make sure to provide contact details so you can make arrangements to pass the set along to the next family.
In December the kids will be starting each service upstairs in the sanctuary, so they can enjoy the pre-service recitals, participate in the lighting of the Advent wreath, and occasionally sing with or listen to the Knox4Us choir. They’ll be dismissed to go downstairs for their children’s program. Parents are invited to come downstairs and find their kids once worship is done.
At the congregational meeting after our worship service last Sunday, members chose eight people to join the session. We’re so grateful we had such an amazing ballot of names to choose from; every person whose name appeared on the ballot is incredibly gifted by God, and we’re grateful they agreed to let their names stand as nominees to the eldership. Here are the names of those chosen to serve this term. Our next eldership election will be at the end of 2020.
